The rain has stopped and we have a good string of days ahead of us. I headed to the land this evening and found that it has dried out considerably. There are still a few spots that have deeper puddles that concern me somewhat; I'm hoping they dry out this weekend.
Our excavator had been out to the site at some point today and was able to get some more dirt pulled from the basement and more of the back yard leveled. I think he had to stop around some of the puddles, which means he'll be making another trip out to finish up.
The back yard is growing and will continue to grow. All that dirt needs to go somewhere.
After checking out the progress, the kids took a few spins on the go kart. Nothing like a little gas powered fun on a clear evening.
